Is Inner Healing Biblical?
Inner Healing is Jesus-centric. It begins when we bring our issues, hurts, pains, curses, burdens to Him. Matthew 11:28-29 “Are you weary or overwhelmed, carrying a heavy burden? Come to me. (Not the psychiatric community.) I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment, rest and peace in me.”
BREAKING BONDAGES
Psalm 78:8 “By following His ways they will break the past bondage of their fickle fathers, who were a stubborn, rebellious generation and whose spirits strayed from the eternal God.”
This verse gives us authority to break strongholds, bondages:
Psalm 81:10 “I am your only God, the living God. Wasn’t I the one who broke the strongholds over you and raised you up out of bondage? Open your mouth with a mighty decree; I will fulfill it now, you’ll see! The words that you speak, so shall it be!
Philippians 4:6-7 “Tell Him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will guard your heart and mind through Jesus Christ.”
God has given all Christians power and authority:
Psalm 148:14 “He anoints his people with strength and authority.”
Only God can bring 100% peace and wholeness:
“And now, may the God who gives us peace and WHOLENESS be with you all. Yes, Lord, so let it be!” Romans 15:33
Philippians 4:19 “I am convinced that my God will fully satisfy every need you have, (inner healing), for I have seen the abundant riches of glory revealed to me through Jesus Christ!”
Hebrews 12:1 “So we must let go of every wound (inner hurts and pains) that pierces us, and the sin we do easily fall into.” (Which is stinking thinking, sloppy agape, bad habits and old speech habits.)
Hebrews 12:8. “We should all welcome God‘s discipline as the validation of authentic sonship. For if we have never endured his correction it only proves we are strangers and not sons.”
TRANSFORMATION OF CHARACTER
Hebrews 12:11 “It will bring a transformation of character.”
Hebrews 12:15 “Make sure no one is living with a root of bitterness sprouting within them”. (They most likely have a spirit of unforgiveness they let in.)
James 5:14-15. “Are there any sick among you? Then ask the elders of the church to come and pray over the sick and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Biblical basis for inner healing
James 5:14-15. “Are there any sick among you? Then ask the elders of the church to come and pray over the sick (including mentally sick) and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. AND THE PRAYER OF FAITH WILL HEAL THE SICK and the Lord will raise them up. And if they have committed sins they will be forgiven. (The prayers of faith are our Tools!)
James 5:16 “Tremendous power is released through the passionate, heartfelt prayer of a godly believer.” (When an inner healing client prays the prayers we give them as their own, with passion and fervor, we see them get the healing, freedom, deliverance, restoration they came for!)
James 5:20. “For the one who RESTORES the sinning believer back to God from the error of his ways, gives back to his soul, life from the dead and covers countless sins, by their demonstration of love!
Exodus 34:7 “….visiting the sins of the fathers upon their children ; even unto the third and fourth generation. (NIV says father = PARENTS. These are generational curse. And they can all be broke off of you)
All of Psalm 3 is an inner healing guide with those who are dealing with accusations, hopelessness, self-hatred, ungodly beliefs about themselves.
Psalm 107:10. “We were prisoners to our pain, chained to our regrets.” (But Jesus can heal our inner most man.)
Psalm 130:5. “This is why I wait upon You, expecting Your BREAKTHROUGH, for Your words bring me hope!” Vs. 7 “For He has a thousand ways to set you free!”
Psalm 146:8 “You fully restore those bent over in shame.” Shame is a stronghold to be broken.
Psalm 147:3 “He heals the wounds of every shattered heart.” Vs 5 there is absolutely nothing that His power cannot accomplish and He has infinite understanding of everything.” (Theophostic ministry)
Proverbs 12:25 “Anxious fear brings depression. But a life giving word of (inner healing) encouragement can do wonders to restore joy to the heart”.
Proverbs 12:28. “Abundant life is discovered by walking in righteousness, (repenting, forgiving people) but holding on to your anger leads to death.”
Proverbs 8:14. “You will find true success when you find Me, for I have insight into wise plans that are designed just for you. I hold in my hands living understanding, courage and strength. They are all ready and waiting for you.” (Inner healing)
Biblical tools for inner healing
The inner healing tools we use are God’s wise plans and have been designed by Him for us to use. Those wise tools are helping them discover their true identity, understanding, courage to fight fear, and leading and training people how to fight the enemy of their souls, how to be strong and win!
Paul says to the church of Ephesus; “I have left you an example of how you should serve and take care of those who are weak.” Acts 20:35
When we embrace and believe God’s Word, and then practice it, we will gain more and more freedom. John 8:32 “For if you embrace the truth, and all that I teach, it will release more freedom into your lives.”
Psalm 37:30 “God’s lovers make the best counselors (inner healing facilitators), their words possess wisdom and are right and trustworthy.” The un-believing psychiatric and psychology practitioners continually mis-diagnose those who are mentally ill and have no true answers or solutions other than putting people on drugs for the rest of their lives. Proverbs 15:4 “When you speak healing words, you offer others fruit from the tree of life.”
Proverbs 16:24. “Nothing is more appealing than speaking beautiful LIFE GiVING WORDS, for they release sweetness to our souls, and INNER HEALING to our spirits (spirit man). “
Proverbs 17:22. “ A joyful, cheerful heart brings healing to both body and soul. But the one whose heart is crushed, struggles with sickness and depression.” (Jesus Inner Healing deals with the root of a persons sickness, depression, crushed heart. Then once they are removed, He brings us peace and joy!)
Proverbs 18:20 “ Sharing words of wisdom (practicing inner healing) is satisfying to your inner being. It encourages you to know that you have changed someone else’s life.”
2 Corinthians 7:6 “But God, who always knows how to encourage the depressed, encouraged us greatly.”
2 Corinthians 10:4. “Our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to affectively dismantle the defense behind which people hide.” (Jesus give us the tools)
Healing the deepest wounds
Romans 4:6 “Even king David speaks to us regarding the complete wholeness that comes inside a person when God’s powerful declaration of righteousness is heard over our life. Apart from our works, God’s work is enough.”
Proverbs 28:13. “If you cover up your sin (issues) you will never do well. But if you confess your sin and forsake them (get inner healing) you will be kissed by mercy!”
Isaiah 57:19. “ I offer peace to those who are far from me and I offer peace to those who are near and I will heal their DEEPEST WOUNDS, says Yahweh.” (These are inner wounds)
Isaiah 54:4 “Do not fear, for your shame is no more. Do not be embarrassed for you will not be disgraced. You will forget the inadequacy you felt in your youth. And you will no longer remember the shame of your widowhood.”
Isaiah 61:1-2. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the humble, He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim the release to captives, and freedom to prisoners.”
Romans 8:16. “For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as He whispers into our innermost being (during inner healing) “You are God’s beloved child.”
Diagnosing or finding the root of mental or emotional distress must be done by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Worldly mis-diagnosis will never lead to a clients true healing and can result in causing further damage to the person. (The clients identity is “ I am schizo.” ). (Being sedated with drugs for the rest their lives.)
1 Corinthians 4:20. “For the kingdom realm of God comes with power, not simply impressive words”
Matthew 8:35 “…wherever Jesus went He demonstrated God’s power by healing every kind of disease and illness. (Including mental illnesses.)
DO NOT SELF MEDICATE with alcohol, drugs, comfort-sex, video games, or other addictions. Take your junk, your offense, your depression to the Lord. Matthew 11:28- 30 Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.”
1 Corinthians 5:13 “But those who are inside the church family, (believers) are our responsibility to discern and judge. “. (Discovery, diagnose)
Don’t send them to the worldly psychiatric community for healing. They cannot heal the root issues. They only treat the symptoms. They also mis-diagnose because they do not have the Holy Spirit. They would have said Jesus was schizophrenic because He heard Satan talking to Him. If you listen to them, you won’t get healed. You will get a lifetime prescription to a pharma drug!
Freedom through truth
Matthew 13:15 “Their minds are dull and slow to perceive; their ears are plugged and are hard of hearing. They have deliberately shut their eyes to the truth. Otherwise, they would open their eyes and see, and open their ears to hear, and open their minds to understand. Then they would turn to me and let Me INSTANTLY HEAL THEM!”
Luke 6:18. “They had all come to listen to the Word so that they could be healed of their diseases and be set free from tormenting demonic powers.”
Luke 11:10. “Ask and you will receive. Seek and you will discover. Knock on heavens door in one day it will be open for you. Every persistent person will receive what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he needs. Everyone who knocks persistently will me one day find an open door.”
HOW DO WE DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE?
Luke 5:45. “For the overflow of what has been stored in your heart will be seen by your fruit and will be heard in your words.”
Matthew 12:34 “For what has been stored up in your hearts will be heard in the overflow of your words!”
Matthew 15:18-19 “But what comes out of your mouth reveals the core of your heart. Words can pollute, not food. You will find living within an impure heart evil ideas, murderous thoughts, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, lies, and slander.”
Luke 3:6 “Every deception will be exposed and be replaced by the truth so that everyone everywhere will be ready to see the life of God” (Jesus)
Luke 10:18-19. “Jesus replied, “While you were ministering, I watched Satan topple as he fell from heaven like lightning to the ground. Now you understand that I have imparted to you my authority to trample his kingdom. You will trample every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will harm you as you walk in this authority.”
Where in the Bible did Jesus ever do “Inner Healing?”
WHERE IN THE BIBLE DID JESUS EVER DO INNER HEALING?
Matthew 8:16. “That evening the people (of the city of Capernaum) brought many who were demonized. And by Jesus speaking only a WORD OF HEALING to them, they were totally set free from their torment. And everyone who was sick received their healing.”
Inner healing ministry is people helping and assisting people have an experience/ encounter with the Holy Spirit, that will set them free, bring restoration, bring breakthrough and deliverance. The Holy Spirit brings the freedom, the breakthrough and deliverance.
Breaking spiritual strongholds
The POD uses our sins, iniquities, transgressions and curses (and ancestral curses) to trap us and demonize us!
John 14:30 “I won’t speak with you much longer, for the ruler of this dark world is coming. But he has no power over me, for he has nothing to use against me.”
Satan had no way to trap or demonize Jesus, since Jesus was without sin, iniquities, transgressions, all manner of curses. Jesus holds the key to set us free.
To the people who say inner healing is “new age” or “witchcraft “:
Jesus speaking: “If you want to test my teachings (inner healing ministry tools) and discover (understand them) where I received them, first be passionate to do God’s will, (Matt 10:7-8 “… heal was sick, cast out demons) and then you will be able to discern if My teachings are from the heart of God or from (New Age or witchcraft practices) My own opinions.” John 7:17
